Foreign Language

Research shows that early exposure to multiple languages provides children with cognitive advantages, such as enhanced problem-solving skills and creativity. It also fosters an appreciation for different cultures, helping children become more comfortable and confident in our increasingly global society, where languages and traditions intersect daily. While learning a new language is valuable at any age, preschool-aged children benefit most due to their natural curiosity and openness to new experiences.

At Oak Forest Academy, Spanish is an integral part of our daily curriculum for all age groups and we strive to include a native Spanish speaker in each classroom, ensuring that children are exposed to Spanish every day in a natural and meaningful way. In addition to language acquisition, we celebrate cultural diversity throughout the year, incorporating lessons and activities that explore various cultures and their traditions. This approach seamlessly integrates content, culture, and language, helping children develop a global perspective and an appreciation for the world’s rich diversity.
